Door and floor stripped, cleaned
and ready to install - the factory didn't put any sound proofing here at
all!
The floor of the S2000
covered with a layer of Brown Bread
to help decrease exterior noise inside the car and also to reduce heat from
the high revving engine and transmission.
Another shot of the door, floor
and transmission tunnel covered in Brown Bread
3M Spray 90 was used to adhere a
layer of
Lcomp to the Brown Bread
on vertical surfaces - there was no adhesive needed on the floor.
The floor and transmission
tunnel covered with
Lcomp. Due to the extremely tight
confines of this small roadster, the oem backing had the be removed from the
carpet to get everything to fit. (this usually isn't needed - but Honda made
it tight!)
The trunk stripped, cleaned and
ready to install - the factory didn't put any sound proofing here at all
other than a couple sheets in the very bottom!
Brown Bread
was applied throughout the trunk area.
